Music 6

Music 6 focuses on the elements of music including rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, tempo, dynamics, and form. Learners will explore the music of various regions around the world by listening to examples and rhythmic ostinatos, and through analysis of cultural influence on music of the past and present. Learners will develop skills in keyboarding to help advance their translation of music notation by actively coordinating rhythm and note values. Learners will experience the life of a composer by creating a musical composition that relates to their overall experiences with music throughout the course.
