Achieve English 10

By utilizing an integrated reading and writing approach, Achieve English 10 provides learners with opportunities and resources to develop the skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening and become more proficient in skills related to literary analysis and effective writing. Lessons include instruction in vocabulary, grammar and spelling skills, reading, comprehension, and writing. Learners will learn to approach world literature with a critical eye by examining fiction and nonfiction texts and will consider the historical and biographical factors to understand the works in the context of the writers’ lives and the period in which they lived. The course also emphasizes strategies to refine writing skills. Achieve English 10 is specially designed to support students requiring alternative pacing and customized content to achieve grade level standards and expectations in English.
