Personalizing your child's education
CCA learners, family members and teachers collaborate to personalize learning by designing a tailored curriculum centered on a child’s unique needs and interests.
By having a personalized curriculum, CCA learners thrive and they can better prepare themselves for success in higher education, military service or in the workforce if they choose that path after high school.
Adapting to the changing needs of learners
Personalizing a learner's education program is an ongoing process. Teachers, learning coaches and learners review their progress and adjust goals as needed throughout the school year.
To personalize a learner's education, CCA:
- Asks learners to complete a questionnaire in order to identify their learning style, which helps teachers determine their best learning approach.
- Conducts a LEAP (Longitudinal Evaluation of Academic Progress) assessment for K-8 students in the beginning and end of the year. This helps identify a learner’s areas of strength and opportunities for growth.
- Sets goals for learners and establishes a timeline for success during the academic year.
- Establishes a regular communication schedule between learners, learning coaches and teachers, depending on a learner’s needs.
