Hola, me llamo Yashira Laboy. Tengo 6 niños inscritos en CCA desde Secundaria, Preparatoria, hasta Elemental. Llevo 6 años disfrutando de los magníficos beneficios que ofrece CCA a mis hijos y he podido ver el crecimiento de cada uno de ello. Me gusta participar con mi familia de las excursiones y eventos en persona que CCA ofrece. Algo que me gusta de nuestra escuela es la flexibilidad, el tener a mis hijos estudiando desde casa y los programas que CCA ofrece para ayudar a preparar a los estudiantes para la vida Post Secundaria. I have 6 children enrolled in CCA from High School, High School, to Education. I have been enjoying the great benefits that CCA offers my children for 6 years and I have been able to see the growth of each of them. I enjoy participating with my family in excursions, and in-person events that CCA offers. Something I like about our school is the flexibility, having my children taking classes from home, and the programs CCA offers to help prepare students for Post-Secondary life. I also enjoy helping other families with tips and advice to achieve success and learn a little more about CCA.

Hello, my name is Danielle Lewis, and we have been a CCA (Commonwealth Charter Academy) family for almost three years. I have been a Family Mentor helping families transition to CCA since 2022. I have two children and they are both in CCA. My oldest daughter is going into 6th grade and my youngest daughter is going into 3rd grade. Both of my girls were transitioned to CCA after being in brick-and-mortar for a combined seven years. I was also a schoolteacher at my girl’s brick-and-mortar school. My husband and I never thought of enrolling our girls into a cyber school, but the state of the schools made us look for other avenues. When we talked with a few others who had joined CCA we really felt this was the right “fit” for our girls. My girls never want to turn back. CCA provided flexibility, classes for my “gifted” learner, and an IEP we were so desperately needing. CCA also blew me away with the growth in education being a teacher myself. My girls have excelled socially with the many field trips and clubs that CCA has to offer. Lastly, CCA has given us the opportunity to be a more connected family by learning every day and with so many opportunities that we can now embrace.

My name is Christy Kester. I am proud that my family will soon be heading into our fifth year as a “CCA FAMILY” for four years. Currently, we have two learners at the elementary and middle school level, respectively. As a busy family, we enjoy camping and competitive sports. The flexibility that CCA offers helps make it easier to do the things that my learners enjoy. I enjoy getting to know new families and helping to guide them on their CCA journey!

Hello! My name is Tiffany Bosley. This is my fourth year as a CCA Family Mentor and my family’s 8th year with CCA. My oldest son started school at our local brick-and-mortar and we transitioned him to CCA during the second half of first grade. We have been with CCA ever since and never looked back. I currently have an eighth grader, a third grader, and a first grader enrolled in CCA. My eighth grader is in the honors program and my third grader receives extra help from an IEP. I also have a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old at home. CCA has made such a tremendous impact on our family. I am grateful for the field trips, the experienced and attentive teachers, the staff, and how well CCA fits each of my children’s academic needs. We are also involved in many sports, and CCA allows us to attend all games and practices, even out-of-town competitions without my children missing classes. I love helping and connecting with other CCA families.

Hello! My name is Kelle Sheckler, and we have been a CCA family since 2017. My husband and I have two children. We started with CCA when our son started kindergarten and we knew that we didn’t want to send him to a traditional brick-and-mortar school. After checking out our options, CCA made the top of our list and we have never looked back! Two years later, our daughter joined her brother as a kindergartener at CCA and we became a full-time CCA family. We feel very blessed to be able to have our children experience this learning style and thrive in its flexibility and opportunities. Aside from being a learning coach and family mentor, I enjoy exploring new places with my family.

Hello! My name is Jennifer Harrison, and we have been a CCA (Commonwealth Charter Academy) Family for 9 years! I have three children enrolled with CCA and have experience managing multiple students as well as all grade levels. As a family, we love CCA for the flexibility CCA has provided for us as a family. CCA has provided a fun and engaging family-like atmosphere where our children have continued to thrive and grow through the numerous social and educational opportunities CCA provides. Each year CCA continues to grow and excel in providing the best education, social and academic experiences for our children, all while allowing us to be a part of their everyday learning and lives. As a Contact–A–Parent Family Mentor, I love sharing our experience and the CCA experience with others by answering their questions and helping them make an informed decision into their students’ future education.

Hello, my name is Claudine Fleming. Before my learner graduated after completing his senior year, we were a part of CCA for a total of five beautiful years. The flexibility of cyber schooling allowed us to carve out family time that fits into our lifestyle. As an added bonus, by attending CCA I am happy that we were able to spend more quality time together. When I am not helping my family or serving other CCA families, I volunteer within my community. I also enjoy baking and tending to my garden.

Hi! My name is Jen Ferguson. My family has been enrolled in CCA for twelve years, and I have been a Family Mentor for eight years. I have four children, and we started with CCA when my oldest was entering kindergarten. This school year, she is in 11th grade. I also have a 9th, 8th & 3rd grader. My husband and I feel very blessed to be able to school our children at home. We love being part of the learning experience, and we have found that we have personally grown throughout these years. Our children have made many friends through their virtual classes, as well as through clubs and field trips. CCA has provided curriculum and academic tools, quality teachers and support staff, fun outings, and other great learning opportunities, making me confident in our school choice.

My name is Dawn Stauffer. This is my eleventh year as a CCA parent, and I have been involved as a family mentor for 8 years. My husband, Troy, and I have been married for years, and we have two children – ages 14 and 16 – both of whom have been at CCA since Kindergarten. Choosing cyber schooling and CCA specifically was not something we did flippantly. We researched, spoke to other families, and agonized over a list of pros and cons. However, since we made our decision, we have never looked back. It has been such a blessing to watch our learners thrive and flourish at CCA! When I’m not guiding my students as a learning coach or mentoring newly enrolled families, I love reading, hosting dinner parties, and spending time outdoors with my family.

Hi! My name is Jessica Renninger. My family has been with CCA for 12 years and I have been serving CCA families as a family mentor for 10 years. My family is very appreciative of the opportunity to be part of the CCA experience over the past 12 years. I would love to share our family’s CCA experience with you! We are extremely thankful for the opportunities CCA offers to students and families. Two of my children started in a brick-and-mortar school setting and then transitioned to CCA in third and fifth grade and have since graduated. My third son has been with CCA since Kindergarten and will be entering 10th grade. Our home is also filled with a very ambitious 4-year-old that will be entering preschool. My family and I live on a small farm with beef, pigs, and chickens. In addition to being a learning coach and family mentor, I work part-time at a local trucking company. I enjoy working on the farm, baking, gardening, and spending time in the outdoors with family and friends.
