As I look out of the window at the city below,
I see planes, fires, fighting, and war
I see demolition and destruction continuing to grow
Who knows what’s now in store?
Life used to be so easy
Then something had to change
Now the future makes me queasy
And life is getting strange
Planes are flying into streets
Clouds of dust go everywhere
The whole process then repeats
The lasers pierce the sooty air
People everywhere are dying
The rays of red know where they’ll aim
Babies everywhere are crying
I feel I will do the same
Where to go now, where to hide?
I know I’m safe inside my bed
Yet even though I am inside
I can’t escape this feeling of dread
For life is like this, we all know
It will never be the same
The planes outside go to and fro
Sending houses up in flame
Robots now clank through the town
It seems as if the end is near
More buildings now go tumbling down
The robots are inducing fear
Robots, planes, lasers, more
How terrifying could it get?
From the rooftops smoke will pour
Do these planes not have any regret?
But the war on the street
Is the same as in our head
For when we try to be discreet
We cause chaos instead
So, looking out the window
What else can I say?
The planes, lasers, and robots know
That they have won the day
As I look out of the window at the city below,
I see planes, fires, fighting, and war
I see demolition and destruction continuing to grow
Who knows what’s now in store?
