Latin 3

In Latin 3, learners will continue to build on their strong foundation of ancient stories. In this course, The Muses, learners will be introduced to the 10 muses, goddesses whose wisdom was said to be the source of philosophy, poetry, music, etc. Each module of the course will present another muse and her gift as learners consider the authentic connections to many other areas of learning. As learners further develop their Latin proficiency, they will use the presentation of the muses to delve into their own personal interests and explore how Latin might support those. By the end of the course, learners will be able to identify ancient threads to many of the academic disciplines as well as career paths of today. The successful Latin 3 learner will produce language in audio recordings and in writing. Due to the cumulative nature of language studies, a minimum grade of 75% (C) in Latin 2 is recommended.
