Chinese 4

Chinese 4 mirrors the experience of a trip to China. It is designed to bring the nuances to an authentic and practical understanding of the Chinese language and culture. Learners consider the experience of planning for a trip, arriving in the airport, acquiring basic necessities and getting to know a new place. They will have the opportunity to express their thoughts, feelings, and opinions in the target language within more complex real-life situations and learning scenarios. Language learning at this level will be individualized to meet the goals of the learners pertaining to their career and travel aspirations. The successful Chinese 4 learner will produce language in audio recordings and in writing. Due to the cumulative nature of language studies, a minimum grade of 75% (C) in Chinese 3 is recommended.
