In Career Planning 8, learners will expand their career preparation journey by learning about entrepreneurship and how an Entrepreneurial Mindset—being creative, resilient, and proactive—can open up unique career opportunities. Learners will also focus on marketing themselves effectively as job candidates, learning essential skills to stand out in a competitive job market. Through practical exercises, they will explore how choices and factors in the workplace can impact long-term career growth and success. The course will also cover the basics of finding job openings, completing job applications, and preparing for interviews, equipping learners with the knowledge and skills to navigate their first steps into the working world. Career Planning 8 is designed to help learners further identify their career interests by taking their final career interest profiler and by exploring different Career Pathways that are available to them in high school at CCA. This course encourages learners to think innovatively about their careers and build essential tools for future employment.
