Applied Geometry

Learners will discover, learn, and apply the basics of geometry in this course. Starting with fundamental definitions, Applied Geometry covers points, lines, planes, and angles. Learners focus on triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons at length before continuing to the Pythagorean Theorem and similar concepts. A hands-on approach is taken to explore perimeter, area, surface area, and volume. Through a strong focus on problem-solving strategies, students will learn to appreciate how often geometry is used in ways that relate directly to everyday life.
