Fifth consecutive year employees have recognized CCA for its exceptional workplace culture

Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA), Pennsylvania’s most sought-after K-12 public cyber charter school, has once again been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA, earning the prestigious 2026 designation from the Central Penn Business Journal and Lehigh Valley Business.
The recognition marks the fifth consecutive year CCA has been named one of Pennsylvania’s best places to work – a milestone that reflects the people who make CCA what it is every day.
“CCA is home to nearly 2,800 talented professionals who work each day with a shared commitment to serving 40,000 students and their families across Pennsylvania,” said CCA President and CEO Thomas D. Longenecker. “To be recognized by our own employees for five consecutive years is an incredible honor and a testament to the culture we have built together. Founded in 2003, CCA is a family service organization with an expertise in education, providing students with a high-quality, personalized, and flexible education designed around their individual needs and learning style. Through its proprietary learning management system, in-house K through 12 curriculum and courses, and innovative programs and practices, CCA continues to demonstrate what is possible in public education and how school should work.
The Best Places to Work in PA program recognizes outstanding employers across the Commonwealth in three categories: small organizations with 15–99 employees, medium organizations with 100–249 employees, and large organizations with 250 or more employees.
