Eight regional ceremonies and one statewide virtual ceremony honored students from across Pennsylvania, including nearly 450 early graduates.
HARRISBURG – Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA), Pennsylvania’s most sought-after public cyber charter school, recently held nine graduation ceremonies across the state, celebrating the achievements of nearly 5,700 students.
Among them were 448 students who completed high school ahead of schedule and nine who simultaneously earned postsecondary credentials through the CCAWorks program.
“Over the last nine days, we celebrated more than academic achievement; we celebrated determination, resilience, and the unique paths that brought each student to this moment,” said CCA President and CEO Thomas D. Longenecker. “The Class of 2026 has demonstrated that success looks different for every student, and we are proud of all they have accomplished.”
The statewide celebrations began with two ceremonies at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, followed by two at The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, two at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, and two at Giant Center in Hershey. The festivities concluded with a virtual ceremony, allowing graduates from across Pennsylvania to participate.
Nearly 40,000 family members, friends, and guests joined in celebrating the graduates’ achievements.
Since graduating its first senior class in 2009, CCA has expanded its academic programs, career readiness opportunities, and student support services. The Class of 2026 included hundreds of students who completed their graduation requirements ahead of schedule, reflecting the flexibility available through the school’s online learning model.
Members of the Class of 2026 will pursue a variety of next steps, including college enrollment, workforce training, military service, and career opportunities across Pennsylvania and beyond.
“As these graduates begin the next chapter, they carry with them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue their goals,” Longenecker said. “We are excited to see how they will contribute to their communities, their professions, and the future of Pennsylvania.”
