Commonwealth Charter Academy Wins Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for Second Consecutive Year

HARRISBURG – For the second consecutive year, Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA), Pennsylvania’s most sought-after public cyber charter school, has won a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award, continuing the school’s recognition for excellence in educational video production and storytelling.

CCA’s “Quilson’s Big Eagle Adventure” won the Emmy Award in the Education/Schools – Short Form Content category. The award comes after CCA received five Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award nominations this year across categories recognizing educational, science, short-form, long-form, and promotional content.

The back-to-back Emmy wins recognize the work of CCA’s in-house video production team, which creates original content designed to educate, engage, and inspire students while bringing learning to life for the CCA community.

“This Emmy Award is an incredible recognition of the creativity, talent, and dedication of our video production team,” said CCA President and CEO Thomas D. Longenecker. “Winning for the second consecutive year demonstrates the exceptional work this team continues to produce for our students and families. CCA’s in-house video production capabilities allow the school to develop original educational programming specifically for its students and families while showcasing the people, programs, and opportunities that make up the statewide CCA community.

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences recognizes excellence in television and video production throughout the region.
