Nearly 400 CCA Students Inducted Into National Honor Societies

Students recognized for academic performance, leadership, and service to others

HARRISBURG – Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA), the most sought-after K-12 public cyber charter school in Pennsylvania, recently held three regional ceremonies and one statewide virtual ceremony to induct 394 students into several national honor societies, including the National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, Delta Epsilon Phi, Spanish National Honor Society, French National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and the National Honor Society for the Arts.

“These students have shown what’s possible when hard work meets opportunity,” said CCA President and CEO Thomas D. Longenecker. “Their achievements reflect not only academic excellence but also integrity, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. We are incredibly proud of the example they set for their peers and for the entire CCA community.”

Many students were inducted into more than one honor society; therefore, the totals listed exceed the number of unique inductees.

• National Honor Society – 110
• National Junior Honor Society – 69
• Mu Alpha Theta – 53
• National English Honor Society – 140
• Science National Honor Society – 73
• Rho Kappa – 76

CCA’s proprietary learning management system and in-house designed courses offer flexible, customized learning options for students from diverse backgrounds, learning abilities, and socioeconomic circumstances. Families can leverage CCA’s extensive resources to accelerate learning, receive academic support, and create personalized pathways that meet each student’s unique needs.

“Behind every student stands a family and a team of educators who lift them up,” said Longenecker. “This year’s inductees reflect the strength of those partnerships. I’m grateful to our families and our staff for fostering an environment where students feel supported to aim high and achieve more.”

Induction ceremonies were held on November 11 at CCA’s Malvern Family Service Center in Chester County, November 12 at CCA’s Waterfront Family Service Center in Allegheny County, November 18 at Penn Harris Hotel in Cumberland County, and November 19 virtually.
