Three CCA Curriculum Videos Nominated for Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards

Educational videos keep students engaged in learning

HARRISBURG – Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA), Pennsylvania’s largest and most sought-after K–12 public cyber charter school, is being recognized for excellence in educational media with three nominations for the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards. The nominations honor CCA-produced videos in the categories of Education/Schools – Short Form and Education/Schools – Long Form Content.

“Receiving three Emmy nominations is a testament to the innovation, creativity, and dedication of our team,” said Thomas D. Longenecker, CCA president and CEO. “Because our learning program is delivered online, it’s vital that every video we create is not only informative but also sparks curiosity and engagement among our students. These nominations confirm that we’re achieving that goal.”

The Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, recognize outstanding achievement in television and digital media across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

CCA’s in-house video production team invests countless hours in planning, storyboarding, producing, and editing content designed to enhance lessons across all grade levels. These videos support thousands of units and lessons in CCA’s curriculum, ensuring students have access to dynamic, interactive learning experiences that go beyond traditional instruction.

“These nominations highlight the incredible talent and vision of our content creators,” Longenecker said. “Most importantly, they reflect our commitment to providing Pennsylvania students with high-quality, innovative educational opportunities that prepare them for the future.”

Winners will be announced at the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards ceremony on September 20, 2025, in Philadelphia.
