Physical Science

Physical Science provides an exploration of the world of nonliving matter through a focus on essential chemistry and physics concepts. Learners will gain an understanding of the nature of matter and its properties and states, the nature and structure of atoms, and how elements bond together and react. Nuclear reactions will also be explored. Learners will explore forces and motion, work and energy, waves, and electromagnetism. Learners will apply these concepts to earth and space science as well as their everyday lives. The course will help learners build their skills in measurement, data analysis, and quantitative reasoning as well as scientific analysis and argumentation through interactive assessments, problem-solving, and guided inquiry.
