MS Journalism

MS Journalism explores the journalistic process from understanding the need for news coverage to producing newsworthy media. Learners will experience news happening on the spot, as well as examine accounts of current events to identify the components of a compelling news story. By the end of the course, the learner will have assumed the role of a newspaper staff member and produce topic-level opinion pieces or special reports that lead into debates with evidence-based debates that provide a solid framework for constructing, defending, and communicating evidence-based arguments.
