Intro to Human Growth & Development

Introduction to Human Growth and Development is a semester-long course that focuses on the study of how humans grow, evolve and change physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally throughout their lifespan. Learners will examine the theories of cognitive development and the factors that impact physical and emotional growth and development from birth to death. Learners will consider the various professions, such as, physicians, nurses, nutritionists, substance abuse counselors, clergy, teachers, career counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists, which support individuals from birth to death.
