Intro to Culinary Arts

Introduction to Culinary Arts offers learners information and instruction on the branches of culinary arts. The course will cover internationally recognized cooking methods, such as boiling, braising, and grilling, and the importance and use of measurements. There will be a focus on the fundamentals of nutrition, hygiene, and cooking, how to properly use equipment, cut meat and vegetables, and bake. Learners will explore basic culinary skills such as cutting, boiling, and baking and explore more complex subjects like plating, food photography, and world cuisine.
