Honors Social Studies 7

In Honors Social Studies 7 learners take a trip back in time to explore the development of human societies and different areas of the world through collaboration, multimedia, and projects. The course begins with the origins of cultures and civilizations, exploring the prehistory of the world and early human societies. The course then progresses into ancient and medieval civilizations, such as the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, and how the foundations of society evolved. Learners will also investigate the culture and history of African and Islamic civilizations, Ancient India, Ancient China, and the civilizations of the Americas. The study of primary sources and document-based discussions is also emphasized.
