Honors American Government

Honors American Government examines the foundational ideals of United States government and its structure as well as the institutions of government at the federal, state, and local levels. Learners will study political processes, explore civil rights and liberties, and understand their responsibilities as members of society. Learners will practice the skills of civic engagement to grow in their citizenship and as active participants in their communities. Learners should expect a rigorous social studies curriculum, deeper exploration of course content, in-class discourse, and faster pace. The most successful Honors social studies learners are problem solvers and strong writers with highly developed organization skills.
