English 9

English 9 offers learners the opportunity to become more proficient in skills related to literary analysis and effective writing. The course is organized into themes such as survival and transformation. Learners will approach literature with a critical eye by examining fiction and nonfiction text. Short stories, poetry, novels, drama, articles, and personal accounts are read. The course also emphasizes strategies to refine writing skills through the development of narrative, argumentative, informative, literary analysis, and research writing.
