British literature is the focus of English 12. Throughout this course, learners explore classic and modern readings from England. Learners consider the historical and biographical factors to understand the works in the context of the writers’ lives and the period in which they lived. Short stories, poetry, novels, drama, articles, and personal accounts are read. Learners will refine their writing skills and practice effective revision as they write argumentative, explanatory, literary analysis, reflective narrative, and personal narrative pieces.
