Career Planning 12

Career Planning 12 is designed to help learners prepare for life beyond high school by strengthening the skills and knowledge needed to transition into the workplace or postsecondary opportunities. Learners will examine the role of technology in the workplace and explore employment outlooks to understand trends that may shape their futures. They will practice advanced employability skills by creating an elevator pitch, building professional relationships, preparing for interviews, and negotiating job offers. Lessons on workplace safety, labor laws, conflict resolution, and resignation prepare students to navigate real-world challenges with confidence and professionalism. Learners will also consider long-term career success, entrepreneurship, and life transitions as they finalize their career readiness. The course concludes with a review of their career plan and a reflection on their learning and growth throughout high school.
