Controlled Environment Agriculture 102

CEA is a newly emerging industry in the state of Pennsylvania and is becoming a career option across the country. After establishing foundational knowledge of CEA and aquaponics in Aquaponics 101, learners are ready to run their own growing area in the lab from their home. In Aquaponics 102, learners work collaboratively to research and select fish, plants, and light calibrations that will be implemented in real time at CCA’s AgWorks growing facility. Learners will experience aquaponics in action by accessing data sensors, cameras and support systems to view their chosen plants and fish. This elective will put learners in the driver’s seat, where their data and observations will drive decisions to ensure that their plants and fish remain healthy.
