Commonwealth Charter Academy Inducts Nearly 300 Students into National Honor Societies

Largest class of inductees in school’s history

HARRISBURG – Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA), the largest K through 12 public cyber charter school in Pennsylvania, recently inducted 285 students into eight honor societies during a ceremony at Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill.

This year’s group of students is the largest class of inductees in the school’s history.

“I congratulate each student for their hard work and for being inducted into these nationally recognized academic organizations,” said CCA President and CEO Thomas D. Longenecker. “These students are committed to their education, and CCA is proud to partner with them and their families to help them reach their academic goals.”

The breakdown of students inducted into the honor societies is as follows:

  • National Honor Society – 86 students
  • National Junior Honor Society – 81 students
  • Science National Honor Society – 42 students
  • Mu Alpha Theta – 27 students
  • Rho Kappa (National Social Studies Honor Society) – 35 students
  • Delta Epsilon Phi (National German Honor Society) – 2 students
  • Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish National Honor Society) – 4 students
  • Société Honoraire de Français (French National Honor Society) – 8 students
