Sports Medicine

Sports Medicine is a semester course in which learners will be introduced to the careers that encompass the field of sports medicine, such as athletic training, physical therapy, and orthopedics. They will explore common sports injuries, sports injury prevention, sports injury care, and professional athletes’ traumatic injuries. Common treatments, rehabilitation, emergency injury management, and administrative functions in the sports medicine field will also be covered. Through course activities, Sports Medicine will help learners understand sports medicine, various associated disciplines, and their role in the physically active community.
