Pharmacology

Pharmacology is a semester course providing learners with a high-level overview of basic pharmacology concepts. The course outlines the history and core principles of the field. Learners will examine various drug types and classes, pharmacological terminology, procedures, and protocols. The course will also help learners evaluate the differences between pharmacy and pharmacology. Through investigations, learners will explore the diverse careers available through pharmacology in pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, community centers, and older adult healthcare settings.
