Intro to Trades

Introduction to Trades allows learners to explore career options related to trades and industries that can be rewarding and exciting. This course will introduce learners to various trade backgrounds, issues related to health and safety, and soft skills that are highly valued in every trade. Trades presented in the course include carpenter; electrician; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); automotive technician; welder; plumber (pipefitter, steamfitter); cosmetology (hair stylist, cosmetologist); septic tank servicer/sewer pipe cleaner; industrial machinery mechanic; and various opportunities in construction. The course will focus on in-demand opportunities and real-life skills.
