Intro to Teaching

Intro to Teaching exposes learners to the field of teaching and education as a career path. Learners will learn what it takes for teachers to plan and prepare for instruction, strategies for delivering instruction, and how to develop positive classroom environments. Real-world classrooms will be observed to see how teachers implement educational strategies. Professional responsibilities related to teaching will also be investigated. Learners will use technology to begin the creation of a teacher portfolio and reflect on a potential career in education.
