Intro to Engineering

In Introduction to Engineering, an entry-level course, learners will get a glimpse of how engineering touches all aspects of life; from buildings and bridges to medical and environmental issues. The course highlights five branches of engineering: mechanical engineering, civil engineering, biomedical engineering, environmental engineering, and computer engineering. Learners will focus on social and global problems within each field and how engineering can help solve those problems. The course includes several hands-on projects to strengthen problem solving skills and allow learners to apply their knowledge of the research and design process.
