Honors Algebra 2

Honors Algebra 2 is centered around solving problems in mathematical and real-world contexts and constructing mathematical arguments using precise language. Learners begin the course with a review of algebra skills and linear functions and progresses into the study and application of sequences, series, transformation of functions, and quadratic equations and functions. Polynomial functions, conic sections, rational and radical functions, and exponential and logarithmic functions are also introduced. Algebra 2 encourages the problem-solving skills students need to better understand the real world. Learners should expect a rigorous math curriculum, deeper exploration of course content, in-class discourse, and faster pace. The most successful Honors math learners are problem solvers with highly developed organization skills.
