In Health and Physical Education A, learners will review body systems and explore methods for taking responsibility for their health and well-being, including good decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution. Health-related fitness components include cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body fat control. Skill-related fitness components include balance, coordination, reaction time, agility, power and speed. Learners also encounter the dangers surrounding the use and abuse of alcohol, drugs, and tobacco.
