English 10

In English 10, through the study of world literature, learners focus on understanding the artistic achievement and meaning of the individual literary work – its language, literary technique, characterization, and theme. Learners consider the historical and biographical factors to understand the works in the context of the writers’ lives and the period in which they lived. Short stories, poetry, novels, drama, articles, and personal accounts are read. Learners will refine their writing skills and practice effective revision as they write argumentative, biography, literary analysis, and informative pieces.
