Career Planning 9 introduces learners to the foundations of career exploration and personal development. Learners will assess their own interests, abilities, and aptitudes using tools such as the Holland Code. They will also explore the 16 career clusters and consider entrepreneurship as a possible pathway. They will practice essential employability skills—including communication, active listening, teamwork, constructive criticism, and problem-solving—that are critical for success in both school and the workplace. Lessons on work habits, goal setting, and developing positive attitudes help learners build a growth mindset. Throughout the course, learners begin developing their career portfolio and continue to learn about CCA’s Career Pathways, culminating in the creation or update of their individualized career plan. By the end of the course, Learners will reflect on their progress, demonstrating growth in self-awareness, employability skills, and future planning.
