Basics of Life Support

Basics of Life Support provides learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients. Consistent with the American Red Cross guidelines, this course provides the foundational CPR/AED competencies required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. Through scenario-based emergency response projects and assignments, learners will develop an understanding of a team-based response and the essential critical-thinking, problem-solving, and team-dynamic skills needed to provide the best patient outcomes.
