Applied Geometry

In Applied Geometry, learners will discover and apply the basics of geometry. Starting with fundamental definitions, the learner will be introduced to points, lines, planes, and angles. The course then focuses on triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons before continuing to the Pythagorean theorem. A hands-on and project-based approach is used to explore perimeter, area, surface area, and volume. Through a strong focus on problem-solving strategies, learners will come to appreciate how often geometry is used in ways that relate directly to everyday life.
