AP English Language

Advanced Placement® English Language and Composition is an introductory college-level writing and composition course. Learners will read a variety of texts and compose rhetorical arguments in response to each text. Learners will refine their writing skills through the exploration of claims and evidence, reasoning, organization, and style. Communication skills for the workforce and civic life will also be reinforced. Upon completion of the course, learners will be prepared to take the AP® English Language and Composition exam.
